Procurement Team Lead – Upstream Operations

Key responsibilities
- Lead, inspire and provide direction to a high-performing AGPS team, fostering growth, engagement, and excellence.
- Drive flawless delivery across all procurement service lines, ensuring accuracy, policy compliance, and efficiency.
- Own performance & KPIs, resolving complex issues and elevating team impact.
- Champion process improvement, standardisation, and best practices to maximise value.
- Build strong stakeholder partnerships, delivering insights, reporting, and solutions that matter.
- Participate in the implementation and lead the delivery of digital transformation initiatives, for example AI integration, risk management, new product or functionality introduction, and sustainability
- Analyse current state processes, existing operations, procedures and workflows and identify opportunities for enhancing efficiencies and productivity.
- Balance strategic oversight with hands-on engagement guiding team while maintaining rigorous standard for quality assurance and audit readiness.
- Act as primary escalation point for operational risks, issues, and dependencies related to all service lines.
- Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements, including timely processing, high service standards and prompt resolutions.
About you
- Experience leading and developing a team of 10–12 people.
- Hands-on experience in procurement operations using Ariba, SAP S/4, ServiceNow.
- Results-driven, able to manage KPIs, resolve issues, and ensure compliance.
- Skilled in process improvement and standardisation.
- Strong stakeholder management, ideally with a background in consulting or shared services.
