Global Procurement Lead - Capability Development

Your Impact
You will be responsible for building, advancing, and sustaining world-class procurement capabilities across the Asahi Procurement organisation. You will translates procurement strategy into scalable, end-to-end capabilities that integrate process and technology into practical ways of working, adopted consistently across regions with varying levels of maturity.
You will shape how procurement operates globally—moving the organisation from locally driven practices to aligned global standards—while ensuring high-quality deployment, strong adoption, excellent user experience, and measurable outcomes. Capabilities span sourcing, contracting, eSourcing, supplier relationship management, supplier risk and compliance, performance management, spend and insights, and AI-enabled procurement.
Success in this role is defined not just by what is built, but by how effectively it is embedded, used, governed, and continuously improved across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate global procurement strategy into a 12–36 month capability roadmap covering people, process alignment, technology enablement, governance, and adoption.
- Own the end-to-end capability blueprint, ensuring seamless integration of process design and enabling technologies into usable global practices.
- Lead global deployment and adoption of procurement capabilities, balancing consistent standards with regional maturity and business needs.
- Drive change by supporting the shift from local ways of working to global standards through strong sponsorship, communication, training, and reinforcement.
- Define and manage capability KPIs, adoption metrics, and governance frameworks to ensure sustainability and continuous improvement.
- Partner with technology and process teams to identify, pilot, and scale AI-enabled and innovative procurement capabilities.
About You
- University degree, preferably in a business-related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Previous experience in procurement transformation, operations excellence, or capability deployment in a global, multinational environment.
- Experience operating in an above-market or global role.
- Deep end-to-end procurement capability expertise.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office and procurement technologies (e.g. eSourcing, CLM, SRM, ERP procurement modules).
- Proficiency in English, with strong stakeholder engagement and change leadership skills.
