Finance Operations Manager

Your Impact

 

 

As a Finance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring robust, compliant, and high-quality finance operations that support Asahi’s global procurement function. You will lead day-to-day finance activities, strengthen governance and audit readiness, and provide meaningful financial insights to enable informed decision-making.

 

 

Partnering closely with business stakeholders and the GPO Finance Manager, you will help drive operational excellence, manage risk, and continuously improve financial processes in a dynamic, international environment.

 

 

Key responsibilities

 

 

  • Lead and oversee daily finance operations, including transaction processing, reconciliations, and period-end and year-end close activities.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate financial reports and support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to drive business performance.
  • Maintain effective internal controls and ensure compliance with international accounting standards, local regulations, and company policies while proactively managing finance risks.
  • Partner with external auditors and internal stakeholders to support audit activities, resolve finance-related issues, and ensure smooth end-to-end financial processes.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, standardization, and best practices to enhance efficiency, control, and value creation within finance operations.

 

 

About you

 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business, finance, or accounting-related discipline.
  • Strong background in finance operations, ideally within an international FMCG or global organization.
  • Strong knowledge of International Accounting Standards and Malaysian accounting and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience managing finance operations, reporting, and compliance in a structured environment.
  • Fluent in English, with strong analytical, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement skills.
